Major WOMMA Initiatives: How You Can Get Involved
WOMMA members are meeting frequently, by phone and in person, to address the important issues that face our industry.
We want you involved: Your input and effort are vital to our success.
All members are encouraged to participate in all WOMMA activities.
Events
WOMMA hosts events of all sorts to promote word of mouth marketing, increase its usage through education and training, and to encourage personal networking. We produce our own events, and we arrange to have word of mouth added to the agenda of other major marketing events.
- All members are encouraged to participate, both in-person and via teleconference. Face-to-face contact is important – and fun.
- Every WOMMA member gets substantial discounts on event registration fees.
- WOMMA members are featured at all WOMMA events, and we consider speaking opportunities a core member benefit. See our Speakers Bureau.
Education and Outreach
WOMMA advocates building the business while promoting your best work. To that purpose, all of our members get:
- Full access to our website, which serves as the central library for the word of mouth marketing industry
- Training and outreach to help grow the business by teaching marketers how to better use word of mouth
- A Buyers Guide to bring new business to WOMMA members
- Tools to help internal and external advocates gain support for word of mouth initiatives
- Exposure for the work of our members
Groups
The core of action within WOMMA. We are constantly forming new groups to address current issues and to involve additional members.
- Councils: Permanent-standing groups that address high-level, mission-critical areas vital to the future of the organization and the industry.
- Task Forces: Working groups that come together to address a specific issue, task forces are project-oriented and disband once their work is completed.
- Interest Groups: These virtual knowledge-sharing forums are informal places for like-minded members to come together and network around shared interests or niche topics in word of mouth.
